This website is protected by copyright and as a database. The copying, storage or transmission of this website or parts thereof for any business-related use is not permitted without the written permission of Cyborn.

Any content divulged through this website is made available purely for informational purposes, and Cyborn cannot be held responsible for any other use thereof.

Cyborn’s liability shall be limited, per incident, to the amount of 500 EUR. Cyborn shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as (but not limited to), loss of revenue, loss of opportunity and loss or destruction of data.

You may consult, download and reproduce the information available on this website for business-related use, provided that you state the source thereof. Should you wish to make commercial use of the information on this website or if you wish to disseminate this information to the public, then you are required to ask permission. Cyborn cannot be held liable for the contents of external websites linked through this website, or linking to this website.

Hereinafter, all the services accessible through the website are referred to as the “Service”.

ARTICLE 1 - Personal data collected about you

1.1 Personal data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. Your personal data may include, for example, your name, your contact details, information on how you use the CYBORN websites and apps, and CYBORN partner websites and apps, or how you interact with Cyborn.

Personal data may be collected:

  • When you use CYBORN services and interact with CYBORN through its different channels. This includes your name, email address and phone number.
  • From joint controllers, such as One.com and others.


Data may be collected and processed for the following categories of information about you for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Your contact information (name, email address and phone number);
  • Your posts and messages on third party social media. You should be aware of the possibility that others may use, tag or repost your information without your knowledge;
  • Information about how you use the CYBORN website (browser type, device type, time spent, most visited pages);
  • Your preferences on the social media sites mentioned earlier;


Please be aware that the data stored on the platforms of the joint controllers is not under the control of CYBORN. You should review their privacy policy for more information on how they deal with your personal data.

1.2 Sensitive personal data Personal data that can be considered sensitive, such as sexual orientation, political affiliation or religion, are never processed.

1.3 Personal data of minors CYBORN does not process information of minors under the age of 16.

Minors who want to use CYBORN services need to be supervised by the holder of parental responsibility over the child. The privacy of minors will be protected and holders of parental responsibility for the child will be encouraged to take an active part in their children’s (online) activities.

ARTICLE 2 – How, why and how long is your personal data used?

2.1 As a controller, CYBORN is bound by, and processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the “GDPR”).

2.2 Your personal data enumerated in article 2 may be used for the following purposes:

  • Informational purposes inherent to the use of our website: website content management and optimization of the website and webpage use through anonymous statistics.

    The legal basis for the processing is your consent or, if you are a client of CYBORN, our legitimate interest (in particular, freedom of entrepreneurship).

    The retention period is 3 years.
  • Direct marketing (cookies will be used, you can receive emails or newsletters to inform you about all Cyborn related events, Cyborn new content release dates and locations, Cyborn surveys, videos produced by Cyborn…).

    The legal basis for the processing is your consent or, if you are a client of CYBORN, our legitimate interest (in particular, freedom of entrepreneurship).

    The data shall be retained for a period of 3 years.
  • Legal obligations

    The legal basis in our legal obligation. The data shall be retained for the duration of the legal retention period.

ARTICLE 3 – What rights do you have regarding your personal data?

3.1 When necessary, your consent will be requested in order to process your personal data. If you choose not to give your consent, or if you withdraw your consent, you will not be able to take (full) advantage of the services offered. At all times, you have the right to access and receive a copy of your personal data. You may at all times request to correct, complete or completely remove your personal data. You may also object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing and for reasons related to your personal situation. When the processing is based on consent, you have the right to retract your consent at any time.

Finally, you have the right to data portability when the processing is based on consent or a contractual obligation. The information above concerns the execution of your rights under GDPR.  The execution of your rights can be done by sending an email to privacy@cyborn.be. In case of reasonable doubt about your identity, we reserve the right to ask for proof of identity. You may also lodge a complaint in relation to our processing of your personal data with the Belgian Data Protection Authority. ARTICLE 4 - Cookies and other technologies

While using the service, CYBORN may send cookies, originating from the domain cyborn.be. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a website's computer and stored on your computer's hard drive. CYBORN does not store any personal details in a cookie that can be used to identify individuals. CYBORN may, however, track your activity on online assets for statistical analysis and to enhance your experience. ARTICLE 5 - Security of your personal data

When you provide your personal data through the CYBORN website, this information is transmitted across the internet securely using HTTPS.

Nevertheless, no security system can guarantee 100% of security. You also have a role to play regarding the security of your data, which includes protecting your user account data and choosing a strong password. We remain at your disposal, should you have any question relating to the safety and confidentiality of your personal data.

ARTICLE 6- Recipients of your personal data

6.1 As described in this Privacy Policy, in some instances your personal data will be shared with third parties, in which case that third party is required to have appropriate technical and organizational measures in place to protect your personal data. However, Cyborn will never sell, lease or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes, except as described above or with your explicit consent.

6.2 However, in some instances, mainly when CYBORN and you are in a contractual relationship (service agreement, coproduction…), CYBORN may be compelled by law to disclose your personal data to a third party, such as a government body, a social secretariat,.. and has limited control over how that data is protected by that party. We may also share your data with banks and payment service providers and with our professional advisers and lawyers.

6.3 The information that you provide to CYBORN will be held in the systems located at the registered office in Antwerp or in those of an appointed third party (mentioned above) or our cloud service providers (Outlook 365 and Google Drive).

6.4 We may not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.

ARTICLE 7 - Updates

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 15th July 2019. CYBORN may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will, in this case, publish on the Cyborn website any new version of this Policy. We thus recommend you to regularly check this Policy for updates.
